Experience, Compassion, Empathy

Rita Cheng first came to Lowe and Company as a client many years ago; she liked the firm so much, she joined our team!  “I felt that Vivien and Jeffrey really cared about me as a person, and not just a client,” says Rita.  “I wanted to be a part of what they were doing to help people!”  Twenty years later, she is now our Manager of Immigration Services, and a member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC).

“When our clients come to us, they are looking at starting a new chapter in their lives; I feel very privileged to help them make it happen!”

Rita uses not only her skills and experience, but compassion and empathy, so that our clients can know that their case is in good hands.  She has extensive experience with different kinds of work permits, skilled workers, business immigration, religious workers, and family sponsorships.  Rita has worked on clients from over 40 countries, with different backgrounds, cultures, hopes and dreams.

I think that all people, no matter where they come from, are valuable, and worthy of respect,” says Rita.  “The important thing in life is not where you are from, but where you are going.  When our clients come to us, they are looking at starting a new chapter in their lives; I feel very privileged to help them make it happen!”

Rita knows that some clients have apprehensions about their future in Canada.  “I believe that familiar adage: when one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.”  With expert advice, as well as the empathy that comes from being an immigrant herself, Rita helps clients look forward to establishing themselves in Canada. Rita is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Testimonials

In the past 6 years, we were happy to choose Lowe and Company and work with Jeffrey and Rita and their team on our family immigration plan. Finally, through hard work, our dream came true on July 15, 2020. Now we work, study and live in this beautiful land of Canada as we dreamed before.

Our immigration idea came on the first travel in Canada in 2014. We were drawn into the charming natural environment. The most important for us we knew that Canada has an excellent support system for people with disabilities because our son has mental development issues. He was struggling in his study and encountered discrimination before. So, we wanted to give him a favourable environment for his growth.

Through our friend’s recommendation, we had our first meeting with Jeffrey and Rita. Their professional knowledge, passion, understanding, and cases they handled before convinced us to engage them as our family immigration attorneys.

After planning the immigration approach, our family came to Canada in August 2014, as Jeffrey and Rita advised, to accommodate the environment and blend into Canadian culture as fast as possible to adjust to future immigrant life. Jeffrey and Rita had been with us every step of the immigration journey. From choosing a school, finding an investment project and a company of immigration sponsorship, preparing documentation, submitting immigration applications and communicating with IRCC until we got permanent resident cards. Since we had several years of living experience in Canada before reaching the PR status, so we didn’t feel any inadaptation comparing direct landing from the homeland.

We are so grateful to have Jeffrey and Rita and their team working on our immigration case. The path they designed for us not only for immigration purposes but also helps us truly blend into Canadian life. We highly recommend Jeffrey and Rita and their immigration firm!

I’d like to share my successful immigration story with the big help of my immigration lawyer Jeffrey Lowe and immigration manager Rita Cheng. I was working as an executive in a large bank in Hong Kong a few years ago, often working 60 hour weeks. Though I was thinking about immigrating to Canada, the thought of preparing all the applications and documents was so stressful and I didn’t know where to begin!

I feel so fortunate to have found Lowe & Company. Jeffrey Lowe, an experienced immigration lawyer, has a deep knowledge of immigration policy, and innovative ways to apply them. He is also kind-hearted, and he tailor made an immigration plan for me based on my background and experience.

Rita Cheng is the Manager of Immigration Services at Lowe & Company. She worked patiently and persistently with me to prepare all the required documents and procedures to implement my Immigration plan. Rita has many years of experience and expertise; she is hard-working, considerate and well-organized, always providing prompt reply. But just as importantly, I really felt that she cared about me as a person, and not just a client; being an immigrant herself, she knew what I was going through: my concerns, hopes and fears.

I fully trusted Jeffrey and Rita in my immigration application. As I was so busy working at HK then, I had little time to organize and prepare all my immigration documents, and Rita especially guided me through all the paperwork.

I was so lucky that I’ve got my work-permit processed in less than six months and got my PR in less than a year after that with the tremendous help of Jeffrey and Rita. The whole procedure was so smooth, and Rita and Jeffrey have become my best friends. I highly recommend Jeffrey and Rita, If you choose their professional service, I believe you’ll never regret your right decision.

I wanted to thank Ms Rita, the manager of Immigration services at Lowe & Company. I had used their immigration services for me. They guided me through the processes step by step and in a transparent manner. She provided me with complete documentation from start to finish. She double-checked every document I sent and pointed out my own mistakes. That’s how meticulous she was. With my successful arrival in Canada, I am now using their services to process my family. I’m hoping to be able to join my family soon.
