Spousal and Family Sponsorship
Family reunification is a key goal of Canada's immigration policy. You can sponsor your spouse or common-law partner, parents, grandparents, and dependent children. Going through the sponsorship process can be challenging, especially since you've never done it before, and will likely never do it again! Sometimes simple mistakes can cost you many months of delays, or even rejection of your case.
Other issues often come up along the way: medical insurance, coming to Canada before or during your immigration processing, working while your immigration case is in process, children from previous relationships.
You must meet minimum income requirements for sponsoring parents and grandparents, but not spouses and dependent children. For your spouse or common-law partner, you must promise to provide his or her basic life necessities for three years…even if the relationship breaks down.
Successfully sponsoring your family involves far more than just filling out forms. We'll prepare your case, advise on supporting documentation needed, prepare you for interviews, search your file if things are going wrong, and be with you from start to finish.
At Lowe & Company, we have the expertise and experience to help you plan properly, execute the plan, help your case get processed smoothly, and appeal your case if it gets refused.
