Mrs Abiola Morgan Anyakwo is a Nigerian lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar in 1982 and
admitted to the roll of solicitors of England and Wales in 1998. Mrs. Morgan-Anyakwo secured
a Bachelors Degree in Law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1981 and a Masters Degree
in Law from the University of Cambridge, England in 1984.
Mrs. Morgan-Anyakwo has extensive experience in providing legal and business advice to
clients, and has a strong commercial sense gained in over 20 years of corporate/commercial law
practice. Specializing in the area of international commercial law, joint ventures and strategic
alliances, Mrs Anyakwo has worked with many multi-national organizations in facilitating their
business and investment in Nigeria.
Mrs. Morgan-Anyakwo has acted as retained counsel to several multi national and joint venture
companies involved in the aviation, telecommunications and energy sectors of the Nigerian
economy, sometimes serving as representative of these foreign investors on the board of their
Nigerian subsidiary and affiliated companies.
Notable assignments include acting as retained counsel to a British international airline in its
strategic alliances with the Nigerian National Carrier; acting as counsel to a Canadian technology
firm in its supply of US$15 million telecommunications equipment and its significant investment
in a Nigerian company; and acting as counsel to international telecommunications company in its
application for vendor financing from an international financial institution.
Mrs Morgan-Anyakwo is a partner in the commercial law firm, Legal Partnership Consult, in
Lagos, Nigeria. She is Strategic Legal Consultant / International Business-Development Lawyer
at Lowe & Company.
Mrs. Morgan-Anyakwo works with clients to research business opportunities for foreign firms
seeking to establish a presence in Canada and is part of the firms global human resources team,
serving clients from diverse countries and industries.
